The Gifted Program in CMS
The goal of the Talent Development and Advanced Studies Program in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is to provide rigorous curriculum and academic opportunities so each student may reach a classroom performance level consistent with his/her intellectual ability.
Catalyst Model at Cornelius: The purpose of the Catalyst model at Cornelius is to allow the classroom teacher and the catalyst teacher share the responsibility of the gifted learner. Our gifted students are clustered together to allow them access to learning at their level and complexity they need.
The TD curriculum is our Common Core State Standards and Essential Standards, and more.
